Kaystar Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of rough terrain forklifts in China, recently displayed its four-wheel drive forklifts with wheel-end reduction axles at its factory in Laizhou City, Shandong Province. The company claims that its forklifts can handle uneven ground such as mud, fields, and mountains, thanks to the advanced design and technology of its axles.

A wheel-end reduction axle, also known as a wheel reduction axle or a double reduction axle, is a type of drive axle that has two sets of gear reduction mechanisms: one in the center and one at the wheel end. This allows the axle to achieve a higher overall gear ratio and a larger ground clearance, while reducing the load and size of the transmission components. Wheel-end reduction axles are widely used in heavy-duty trucks, large buses, off-road vehicles, and other special-purpose vehicles that require high torque and good off-road performance.

Kaystar’s wheel-end reduction axles adopt cylindrical planetary gears, which are more mainstream than conical planetary gears. The wheel-end reduction ratio is fixed at 2, and it is usually combined with a central single-stage axle to form a series. The company says that its axles can withstand an output torque of more than 50,000 Nm and a load capacity of up to 16 tons per axle.

Kaystar’s four-wheel drive forklifts are equipped with wheel-end reduction axles on both the front and rear axles. The forklifts have full-time four-wheel drive, which greatly increases the power of the forklifts. The forklifts also have various attachments and functions, such as telescopic boom, ejector, bucket, crane, rotary excavator, etc., to meet different customer needs.

Kaystar has been producing 4WD forklifts and rough terrain forklifts since 1999. Its products and services are in a leading position in the industry. Kaystar’s rough terrain forklifts are widely used in China, Europe, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.
