Kaystar (Kaida) SOP – Container Loading for Rough Terrain Forklifts

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Loading Kaystar Rough Terrain Forklifts into Containers

Loading Rough Terrain Forklifts into Containers

1. Preparation Before Loading

  • Forklift Inspection: Ensure the machine is clean, intact, and operational (check tires, engine, lights, brakes, etc.).
  • Goods Verification: Confirm model, quantity, and accessories match the packing list and sales order.
  • Container Check: Inspect the container for dryness, cleanliness, no odor, no rust, and no deformation.
  • Ground Conditions: Ensure the loading area is level and free from obstacles. Lighting must be adequate.
  • Personnel Preparation: Assign qualified forklift operators and safety personnel, all wearing appropriate PPE (helmets, gloves, reflective vests).

2. Loading Process

  • Entry Positioning: Use ramps to slowly drive the forklift into the container. Use spotters to guide entry and avoid hitting walls.
  • Placement Arrangement: Place the forklift at the specified position according to the loading layout. Ensure weight is evenly distributed.
  • Fixation Measures:
    • Use ratchet straps to secure the vehicle’s front and rear axles to the container floor rings.
    • Use wooden blocks to prevent tire movement.
    • Add airbags or foam padding if necessary to fill gaps and reduce shifting.
  • Photos Documentation: Take clear photos from multiple angles (left, right, front, back, top, fixing points, full view) and fill in the Photo Record Sheet.

3. Seal and Record

  • Final Check: Confirm all items are fixed and no loose objects are left inside.
  • Seal the Container: Attach the seal and record the seal number and time on the Seal Record Sheet.
  • Fill in Forms: Complete the Loading Inspection Checklist, Cargo Securing Confirmation Form, and Photo Record Sheet.
