When we drive a four-wheel drive forklift, there will be a banging sound when the gear is engaged. Is this noise caused by a malfunction in the gearbox?

Congratulations, your gearbox and engine are well matched. This is because the engine power is output to the hydraulic torque converter, and the automatic clutch of the hydraulic torque converter is jamming.
This means the gearbox is completely normal and the vehicle is in good working order.

If there is no such sound, it may be that the engine and the torque converter are not matched, and there will be insufficient power or fuel consumption during work.
